Her body tensed up as the surrounding area was something she could have only imagined. Yet, knowing herself, Miley was probably creating this lovely village from previous fairy-tales she has heard from her childhood. Miley took a couple seconds, trying to bring her eyes back to reality, yet, nothing changed. Continuously rubbing them, Miley was unsure whether she was actually imagining this place. Was it actually real? Wow. It was plain beauty, the sights were amazing and small homes gave it a precious little look. By her side stood a small Pokemon. named Kunu. His eyes were half closed, and the sound of heavy breathing came from a hidden mouth. Miley looked down at her Pineco and gave an apologetic look. She had only just gotten her poor Pokemon, and wasn't use to having such a lazy Pokemon. Yet, Kunu liked to think himself as, 'Relaxed', not lazy. Miley would laugh each time he gave her a glare for saying he was dragging her behind. Kunu would always reply with something like, "You don't need to be in such a rush, my lady".. Although, Miley wasn't a Pokemon, and therefore heard nothing but the name of her Pokemon as it spoke. This was something that annoyed the both. Miley has always wished to be able to understand Pokemon, but never had the time to study it in school for about 10 years. Even after those years of studies, people only know basic words. You were best off learning by going on an adventure with your own Pokemon, and learning how to understand them, not by the voices but buy how they react, and so on.
Kunu hopped around the ground looking at the leaves as they blew in the gentle wind surrounding the village. Miley had decided to walk around in search of something interesting, but Kunu wanted to catch his breathe. Miley has told him that she might be gone for a little while until she found something that could get them going. Yet, the Pineco refused again and carried on the observation of the Village. "Suit yourself," Miley sighed. Walking off toward a group of young children. A couple were girls, but were outnumbered by males. Miley got closer, giving a wave as a few turned around. Shouting emerged from the middle of the crowd, and it came clear to Miley there was a Pokemon battle going on. Not wanting to miss out on the action she quickly rushed over, her face beaming with excitement. "Let me see!" She cried tip-toeing to catch a peak. Miley felt so young when she was watching such amazing things like Pokemon battles. A small Nidorina and Gastly circled each other. Two boys, pointing and making hand gestured, commanded the Pokemon to preform moves. Miley watched in astonishment at how skillful these Children were, at such a young age. It was amazing! Even Miley was battling just then, thinking about it, she only had an imaginary Pokemon. A Pidgey. Named Flappy. Of course the nickname was very creative, she was about ten when she made that name. Quickly removing this memory from the mind she went back to the battle. Miley had seemed to have missed a lot. Already the Nidorina had been put to sleep, and the Gastly was using a 'sleep talk' attack. Miley turned around and looked for Kunu. Catching his eye, she projected her voice, "Oi! Kunu. Over here!" She spoke quickly, but clearly. Waving her hand backward. The Bag-worm Pokemon nodded his head... well, body, and began to hop over, sighing. "Be right there, My lady."
As the Pineco reached the battle it was seconds from being over. Kunu pushed past the crowd and began to relax by Miley side, Only to be taken by surprise as a screech from a Nidorina pierced his ears. Quickly looking over to where the noise originated, the ice blue Pokemon lay on the ground... fainted. "Obviously he was not intelligent enough to defend." Kunu said, rolling his eyes and looking up at Miley. Her face was lit with joy and she was really into it. She began to also cheer with the small crowd that had gotten smaller, seeing as some kids had to go in for dinner. Once it had settled, Miley looked down to her Pokemon and smirked. "One day, that'll be me and you!" Her voice was smooth and showed she was certain about what she'd just said. Kunu looked a little worried, but new it wouldn't turn out as bad, seeing as he knew tactics, as well as Miley. The Pineco simply nodded and began to follow his master as she walked off a bit. Her hair swayed in two long ponytails, as she made her way out the opposite side they entered the village. They didn't stray off far too far. Kunu knew this since the area where the Battle scene took place was still visible. He looked back around to see Miley jumping and dancing about, singing to herself. "Crazy girl," he sighed, but had to give a small chuckle. Yet, the Pineco didn't join in with he fun. He left Miley to jump about in her own little fantasy land.
As the dancing came to an end, Miley was panting, and trying to catch breathe, just like Kunu was, as they entered the village. She walked over to a tree where her Relaxed Pokemon was laying. She sat next to him, and wrapped her arm around him. "Hmm. No matter how strange, and boring, you can sometimes be, I still loooove you!" Her voice changed to a melody as she said the word 'love'. Kunu almost blushed, but tried to shake it off. "Well, I could say the same... excluding the word 'boring'." He Joked, turning so he was facing the girl. Her eyes were a nice purple-green color. He was suddenly fearing his life as Miley jumped up and began to run. What?! My lady! Where are you going!" His voice was filled with the stench of fear. As he began to try and follow the immature girl. She spoke nothing as carried on sprinting. Soon it turned to a skip as she halted at a funny little... thing. Kunu got a closer inspection and indeed noticed it was a Shrine.

- The school day was still underway; the giggles and gaggles of his peers had grown distant the further away he moved. The stringent atmosphere he felt from being cooped up within the educational facility had fallen away as he turned down the road splitting from the route he should be taking to school. Raul hadn’t wanted to think about the lessons he should have been learning today, the rumors flitting around about who battled who that weekend and whatever menial things his classmates would find novel. He just wasn’t into that, the whole setting seemed off to him and though he knew he should have just gone to school like he was expected he was now trekking outside of the quaint village town and into the wild’s beyond it. But it wasn’t like he was alone. His poochyena trotted, companionably silent, by his side. It’s large red eyes and crooked grin bright as it padded after its trainer, perfectly content to skip the boring human school to go exploring. The pair wasn’t far from the Shrine and whether it was because he could think of no better place to be or simply wanted a quiet place to go, Raul and his Poochyena sauntered through the tall grasses and found themselves staring at the back of a taller girl and what looked like a mobile grenade. Frowning, Raul grunted disapprovingly. The one place he wanted to go had to have someone else there. “Hey you, what are you doing here?” he called curtly, one hand on his hip and expression disinterested.

Looking around to see if anybody was watching, Miley began to take a few steps closer to the shrine they had come across. It was ancient, and in Miley's head contained a magical past. Her hand began to rub up against the sides of the shrine, smirking at her Pineco as she did. Kunu stood there, looking at this magnificent thing. Yet, maybe they shouldn't be here. He thought long and hard about what to say, and finally spoke, "My lady, are you sure we should be here?" His voice was sketchy and not completely full of life. Miley ignored her Pokemon crying out his own name and began to circle the Shrine. Wondering what magic the great things possessed. Due to not wanting to leave she looked at Kunu and picked him and, and began to spin in a circle. "Do you know what we have found?" Her voice, cried. Before the surprised Pokemon could reply, Miley answered for him, "It's a shrine! Probably full of the magic essence from the village back in the days," she grinned. Letting down the shaking Pokemon. She sat there for a couple minutes, eyes closed tightly as if she was trying to conjure something. Ignoring the fact completely nothing happened, she stood back up, continually staring. Kunu rolled his eyes at what her weird, yet wonderful, master was doing. From behind there was a noise, a person, wait not, Pokemon. Actually, It was both. He turned his head to get sight of a small boy and his Poocheyna.
As the kid called something out, Miley spun her body. He was small and about the same age as the kids who were battling before. Miley hadn't paid attention to what exactly the kid has said, but she replied with, "Oh wow. Are you the guardian of this Shrine?" Her head was now inside a fairytale and it would be hard to get Miley back down to reality. Kunu sighed at her comment and began to hop over to where the kid's Pokemon stood. He gave a warm look and spoke, "Me and, My lady, are here, just looking around. Are we intruding?" He didn't sound weak, but in no way was the Pineco standing up for himself. Miley took a couple steps closer to the kid and began to circle him, inspecting his aspects. "So, the power of the Shrine is immortality is it... or should I say was it? I can feel the power drained from this place. I'm sure it use to be amazing before," Her words seemed to flow from her mouth without thought. Sometimes it was hard to tell if Miley was telling the truth, or pretending. Since both soundly exactly the same to others. She came back to the front of the kid and looked down at the Poocheyna. It was so cute! Miley couldn't help but keep her eyes attached to the Pokemon. Almost feeling bad for Kunu, she got closer and picked up her Pokemon. Snuggling him into her chest.

- It took a moment for the youth to digest the older girls words and when it finally seeped past whatever blockage it had initially come across, he was met with a feeling of bemusement and ambiguity. “I-is she…stupid?” he mumbled, disconcerted. His large eyes tapered warily, regarding the girl with a hint of admonishment now and clearly not at all willing to entertain her stupid fantasies. Raul honestly wasn’t sure what irritated him more, the idea that this city kid was trying to equate him as some deity of the old begotten pokemon shrine or that she was here in the one place he wanted to be. The former seemed the most offensive and he growled huffily at the taller individual as she drew close to him. He was given a momentary distraction however; the mobile grenade he’d seen had turned around and was chirping its name in a soft drone that he could not understand. “A Pineco?” he whispered, more to himself than to any of those present. He had never shown a direct interest in pokemon, aside from his faithful Poochyena, and had shirked the chain of class and had probably missed a lesson on it at some point or another. That aside he was dragged out of his assessment of the grass pokemon to tense at the nearness of its Trainer who had begun to circle and scrutinize him like he was on display. “I-Idiot!” he barked, wanting to yank at one of her pigtails with the annoyance that burst from a wellspring of irritation he had always possessed. “The Shrine is nothing but a bunch of rocks some old people put together! It ain’t magical and there’s no such thing as immortality!” he snapped, not sure why he was so riled but embracing the ire as she retreated to gather her pokemon in her arms. He couldn’t help but look at his own, the dark-faced canine meeting his gaze and tilting his head in question. Poochyena wasn’t sure why his friend was so upset with the girl. She seemed rather nice. “Don’t give me that look, she’s being stupid.” He hissed, a slight frown pressing his lips into a line, as he seemed to interpret the confusion of his Pokemon. “Hey lady, what do ya want here? You got business or are you gonna leave soon?”

Miley was tightly squeezing her Pineco to her chest, rocking side to side. The Bag-worm Pokemon wiggled a bit, but gave up after her arms tightened. Miley didn't speak until the boy suddenly cried an outburst that almost made her drop Kunu. His face seemed full of red anger and Miley began to blush. She hadn't meant to make the boy so angry. Why didn't he understand the magic of the shrine? Her mind was caught in though as the boy carried on with his rage, and Kunu jumped from her arms. His eyes rolled and he just stood there, waiting for something else to happen. Miley, however, began to ponderer on what evil spirits could have fulfilled this kid. Her mouth was tightly shut as the kid finally finished talking to his Pokemon, then Miley again. She sighed. "Obviously, the Shrine has lost it's power due to evil spirits hiding in humans... like you! You have made people believe the shrine is useless! Without belief how can it's power thrive?" Her voice was loud, but was strong. It made a statement. Miley didn't want such mean spirits to destroy the powers that could help this village to pure happiness. There was only one way she could make the kid understand. Her arms swung into the sky, and she cried out, "Evil spirits, I shall destroy you in a battle of creatures. A fight for Magic, to show the truth behind this mask!" It seemed like these lines were taken from a play, or at least were rehearsed. "A Pokemon battle is the only solution!" Now Miley had asked, there was no turning back.
"Kunu get out there!" Miley hadn't waited to see what the kid said. She simple wanted to get straight in there. No point wasting time and giving the kid the ability to go before her! Kunu jumped in front, not to sure about what he was really going to be doing. His eyes rolled and he concentrated on the Poocheyna. It looked strong, but with his tactics, and Miley's commands there shouldn't be anything to worry about. "What should I do, My lady?" The Pineco asked, feeling a little bit more confident about this battle. Her eyes, narrowed and she pointed a finger at the Spirit's Pokemon. "Spin and shift!" She cried out! Kunu nodded and began to spin in a circle, before letting out a ray of Stars in different directions. Miley grinned, there was no way the Poocheyna would dodge this move!

- This lady was definitely a few bananas’ short of a bunch. The boy was torn between wanting to trudge home and throttle the girl for her fanatical accusations. She had basically just called him some kind of demon! All because he didn’t want to humor her or the old legends about the mystical powers supposedly enshrined here. It was completely idiotic for him to give heed to old tales when nothing special had occurred in this area since it had first been built – he doubted anything that had been attached to the small monument had ever even happened. And here was this newcomer telling him that he was some evil spirit and had defiling the place! ”You don’t know nothing, Lady!” he snarled back, all piss and vinegar from the insult and willing to beat up her pokemon if only so he didn’t do the same to her. Anything to get her out of here! ”Ya wanna fight then fine! Go knock some sense into that lamebrain Poochyena!” he ordered and with a dramatic gesture directed his pokemon to take the field as the girl’s Pineco had already begun its attack. The glittering stars hurled at it were beautiful and for a moment as Poochyena padded into the gap between the two humans, was mesmerized by the glowing yellow stars twirling in front of him. That was until they hit him. Then they weren’t so attractive. Poochyena was seeing his own stars and whimpered sorrowfully as it dizzily gathered itself back up and shook off the pain that sent tremors through its body. ”Poochyena! Sand-attack!” The boy’s voice pelted his ears and the dark canine pivoted on his heels and kicked up a furious spray of dirt at Pineco. [And no I am the mod for your thread]
